  • Building controls and diagnostics, including building occupant-oriented control, model-based predictive control, and building envelope and indoor environment quality measurements and evaluation.
  • Total building performance analysis, including energy, comfort, daylight, electrical lighting, solar/shading, acoustic performance simulation and analysis using EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, eQUEST, Ecotect, Green Building Studio, IES, DIALux, Radiance, Vasari, and Climate Consultant computational programs.
  • Building occupant behavior and its impact on building energy consumptions.
  • Data mining applications in green buildings.
  • Green building codes and standards, submission process, and market.
  • Lighting and daylighting design and control.
